With its ruling published yesterday, the Curia confirmed that the National Media and Infocommunications Authority (NMHH) acted lawfully when it excluded DIGI Communications N.V., the parent company of DIGI Távközlési és Szolgáltató Kft., from the auction launched to promote the implementation of the fifth generation (5G) mobile technology and to sell frequencies suitable for wireless broadband services.
NMHH: Two bidders won 80 MHz in the 3400-3800 MHz band
On 7 June the National Media and Infocommunications Authority of Hungary (NMHH) announced the winners of the auction procedure for acquiring frequency usage rights in the 3400-3800 MHz frequency band. DIGI Távközlési és Szolgáltató Kft. and Vodafone Magyarország Zrt, the winners in the upper and lower band, respectively, together offered HUF 896.6 million for the ten user basic blocks in total to utilise the 3400-3800 MHz frequency band.
